In this module you will write your first lines of code and learn the basics of coding apps and websites. You will be introduced to two coding languages: HTML and CSS.

Hi there! We are Maseeh and Bilal, and we designed the Apptrepreneur course. We’ll also be your online teachers and mentors.
We are both award-winning app developers with many years of experience. Our App company, Xander, has received a number of awards, like the Vodacom AppStar Award and MTN App of the Year Award.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Apptrepreneur course accredited?
Yes. Apptrepreneur is accredited by the MICT SETA and by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA).
By successfully completing the course you will receive a National Certificate in Systems Development (SAQA ID 48872, 131 credits, NQF level 5).
Do I need to have any previous experience with coding?
Not at all. In this course we will assume that you have never written a single line of code in your life. All you need to know is how to use a computer and an internet browser.
What if I don’t have matric?
No matric, no problem! You can still study with us by applying for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). Give us a shout to find out how.
Do I need to be good at Maths to be a coder?
Not at all! There is an old myth that you have to be good at maths to be a coder.
Anyone can learn to code, even kids.
Do you offer bursaries?
We do not offer bursaries, but if you need one, we can recommend some excellent organisations who you can apply to.
